Typically we have good supplies of beautiful dark orange heartwood Douglas Fir, and also have Ponderosa Pine so specify the species desired. Both are equally great to work with and both look great. Our logs are harvested though sustainable means and without clear cutting! Plus, our logs have a very low sap content, making building that much easier.

Once your logs are ordered, you may want us to pre peel them for you. Logs with bark intact must be peeled as soon as possible to remove the potential for rot . Our peeling team will peel your logs correctly the first time using many years of experience and very sharp drawknives. The average log house can require well over 60 logs and hiring a novice with poor tools is a good way to ruin your entire log set.

Log home window and door bucks, countertops, benches, entertainment systems, stairs, closet shelves and organizers, kitchen cabinets, and more can be completed economically using natural wood slabs of either Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine and Juniper. Get the materials you need in the sizes you need them. Send us an email of the species, sizes (in length, width, and height) of your log slabs required. We'll mill your pieces and ship them right to you for you to finish as you wish! We leave the natural edge with all its charcater intact.
